Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is projected to win the Democratic primary for Minnesota’s fifth congressional district, according to the Associated Press.
Omar is ahead by 56.2% with over 95% reporting.
Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., defeated city council member Don Samuels, whom she defeated by only two points during her 2022 primary.
Omar is one of the Democratic members of the left-leaning “squad” in Congress.
